Absolute Solar and Wind (ASAW), part of the RSK Group, is a leading renewable energy engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor. They are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor on a full-time, permanent, hybrid basis at their Loch Lomond, Scotland head office. 

The QS will provide commercial management and quantity surveying services across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective commercial control of projects
  • Understand and manage project level legal and contractual obligations
  • Carry out procurement of subcontractors and large value plant, materials and equipment
  • Ensure that robust change control is implemented at project level and variations are agreed with the client/ suppliers on a monthly basis to ensure accurate forecasts are maintained.
  • Provide monthly project reports / CVR’s to the Commercial Director and Senior Management team to enable robust financial reporting
  • Proactively challenge, investigate and report on project level financial performance

Person specification:

  • Technical Quantity Surveying qualifications
  • Previous surveying experience within the construction or civil engineering sector.
  • Renewables experience is an advantage.
  • Experience in interpreting contracts/contractual terms, including JCT, NEC, ICC
  • Member of a recognised professional institution is an advantage (i.e. RICS, CIOB, CICES)
  • Must be in possession of a full driving licence

Salary and benefits:

  • £35,000 - £50,000 Depending on experience
